A worried Shazia turns up at Dr Hassan’s door. Her dad and Zak have been in Mecca for two days and she hasn’t heard a word from them. Dr Hassan is confused as to why Shazia is here but she soon puts him right. He was the one who recommended her dad should go despite knowing about his diabetes. Dr Hassan protests Dr Masud made his own decision. Shazia calms down when Dr Hassan suggests coffee as a peace offering. He assures Shazia her dad is fine and that she will hear from them when they settle into their tent in Mina. Besides the tour guide and Zak know about the diabetes and will look after him. Shazia wonders if Mary has confronted the doctor yet about his support for the sheesha lounge. Dr Hassan admits he needs to apologise to Mary. Talking of apologies he has a long overdue one for Shazia too.
In Mecca, Dr Masud and Zak agree walking to Mina is the right decision. Dr Masud is sure they will find Asif and their group when they arrive. He then asks Zak if Hajj is what he expected. Zak admits its tough being here without Fatima next to him but he has no regrets about coming. Eventually they get to Mina but Dr Masud is weak after such a long walk and stumbles. To make things worse it isn’t going to be easy finding their group amongst three million people. Zak suggests the doctor take one of his glucose tablets but he has left them on the coach. A worried Zak heads off to find an information point but struggles to get anyone to understand him as the officials only speak Arabic. He is approached by Munir who tells him all the tents in Mina are arranged by country. Zak might be better off going to the British tents for help. Munir offers to go with him and Zak says he needs to collect his friend on the way. To Zak’s horror Dr Masud isn’t where he left him. Munir reckons he can’t have gone far if he isn’t well. Suddenly Zak is hopeful when he spots Asif’s red umbrella but his joy is short-lived. Dr Masud isn’t with the rest of the group. Where can he have got to?
