Dr Masud and Zak are in Mecca where the tour guide Asif is trying to keep his group together. Zak reckons Asif has led over twenty Hajj trips and knows what he is doing but Dr Masud isn’t convinced. At this rate they will never get to the Great Mosque. Asif is suggesting anyone who strays should look out for his red umbrella but Dr Masud has other plans. He and Zak will make their own way there! They head off but are no closer and the crowd is getting bigger. Zak gets annoyed when someone shoves Dr Masud. Dr Masud reminds Zak what he is here for and tells him to stay calm. He then tells Zak to look around him. People are stopping right in the middle of the street to pray. They don’t need to get to the Great Mosque after all.
Later Zak is packing for the trip to Mina but can’t find his mobile phone. Dr Masud suggests he dropped it earlier but Zak thinks it’s more likely that someone in the crowd stole it. They are interrupted by Asif who tells them the coach is leaving in ten minutes. He also reminds them they should stay with the group at all times. Dr Masud starts to protest but then head downstairs. Zak mentions Dr Masud’s diabetes but Asif tells him not to worry. Shazia already rang three times!
On the coach Asif informs the group of their itinerary for the next few days and mentions his red umbrella again. The passengers laugh when Dr Masud asks what to do if Asif isn’t the only person with a red one. After a while the coach stops at the roadside so Dr Masud decides to stretch his legs. Asif announces it will take four hours to cover the trip. Dr Masud announces he didn’t come all this way to sit in a traffic jam. They are walking instead. Zak protests but the doctor has made his mind up. Besides they can find Asif via his red umbrella when they get there. So is Zak coming or not?
