The sheesha lounge is finally ready for the opening night and Arun and Vinnie look proudly at their achievement. And this is just the start of their empire Arun reckons. As they nervously await their first customers they are dismayed when Chunky walks in. All they need now is Mary to turn up and put a damper on things. Chunky doesn’t let his disapproval keep him from the buffet though. The lads forget Chunky though as people start to pour in. The guest of honour, Mani, finally arrives with Jodie. He gazes around him and is amazed by what they’ve done. He’s so proud of Jodie and Vinnie. Arun reminds Mani that he had a hand in it too!
The opening is a success despite Chunky and Mary’s presence. Chunky does his best to spoil things, heckling Vinnie during his speech but the other customers don’t seem to be put off. There’s a party atmosphere and they start letting off party poppers. Unfortunately the loud bangs startle Mani and Jodie has to take him into the restaurant to calm down.
After a few drinks Chunky gets more vocal and starts threatening to get the lounge shut down. He can see how popular it is and is worried it will affect his business. Vinnie tries to placate him and offers to make Chunky’s brother’s cab firm the official taxi service for the lounge. Chunky considers this but a cut from that doesn’t sway him. It’s just not enough. Then Arun has a brain wave. Chunky’s desperate for a part in the panto, so why doesn’t Vinnie cast him as the Genie. Chunky’s delighted, and his opposition to the sheesha lounge is forgotten.
Mani pulls Kuljit to one side to tell him how truly sorry he is for threatening him and trying to blackmail him. It was a vicious thing to do but Kuljit understands how desperate Mani was. Now Jodie knows the whole story they can try and put it all behind them. Kuljit is grateful, but he wonders, if Jodie knows that none of it was his fault, why hasn’t she asked him to move back in?
