Have your say
Ranbir appears shamefaced at Saffron Rays and apologises to Vinnie for kicking off. He wants to make amends and offers to help out any way he can. Vinnie still doesn’t know what was behind his outburst, but seeing Ranbir’s really sorry he gives him another chance. Vinnie gives Ranbir a stack of posters and flyers and sends him off to do some marketing. Unfortunately Ranbir’s first call is Chunky’s Chaat house. Chunky takes one look at the poster and chases Ranbir out with a big kebab skewer. Ranbir takes refuge in Brady’s news but Mary is no more welcoming. She thinks Arun and Vinnie are trying to wind her up and threatens to tell Kuljit what Ranbir is up to. Poor Ranbir has no idea what’s going on and beats a hasty retreat. Mary chases him out but spots Dr Hassan and vents her wrath on him instead. What on earth is a GP doing, encouraging a smoking den! Dr Hassan protests it was only a suggestion, and admits it may have been an error of judgement. But, he asks Mary, is it the health risk she’s really worried about…or a decline in profits? Mary is incensed and declares that she’s going to make sure people find out the truth about him.
Vinnie’s checking out the Bollywood keep-fit class’s routine when he spots Ranbir tinkering with the sound system. Ranbir teases Vinnie about taking his director role so seriously and launches into a Pacino speech from a film. Vinnie’s impressed by how good Ranbir is, as are the keep-fit class who burst into applause. Vinnie wants talent like that in the panto and whips out a script for Ranbir, asking him to read for Aladdin. Ranbir takes one look at the script and flings it down. He’s not doing some stupid panto he declares as races off.
Mary calls to see Mani. He’s feeling better and is glad of the company. He’s been doing a lot of soul searching he says and feels he’s neglected his business. Stella would be disappointed if she saw it looking so tired. He’s made his mind up to make it the best restaurant for miles. He tells Mary that Jodie and Vinnie have a plan to bring it right up to date with a new, vibrant crowd. Mary sees how excited he is and her heart sinks, Mani obviously approves of the sheesha lounge,
