Arun and Ranbir are working hard to get the sheesha lounge ready for opening when Jodie turns up. She looks around and is pleased with the way it’s coming along. Mani’s coming home tomorrow and she wants everything perfect for then. Arun’s dismayed; they’ve been at it non-stop and there’s no way it’ll be ready tomorrow. He phones Vinnie to get an extra pair of hands on the job. It’s coming together, with fairy lights and lanterns to set the mood. Arun starts to tick off what still needs doing. The different tobacco flavours need sorting into containers. Ranbir offers to do it but Arun hesitates, he says he’ll sort it later. Ranbir can see he’s busy though and insists he doesn’t mind. Arun sighs and explains that he’d rather do it himself. All the flavours are labelled up but he knows that Ranbir can’t read very well. Ranbir is shocked and wants to know how Arun knows. Arun has to admit that Kuljit mentioned something. Ranbir is so embarrassed and angry he screams at Arun that he’s not thick, and in his temper he chucks a vase at the wall, smashing it.
Vinnie and Sameer are auditioning panto hopefuls but talent is thin on the ground. Vinnie seems confident that it’ll be alright on the night but Sameer is beginning to worry. Thinking Vinnie needs taking in hand he suggests that Zenab might make a good assistant director. Vinnie’s dubious; he’s heard Zenab can be a bit bossy. ‘That’s the point’ Sameer mutters to himself as Vinnie disappears to go and help Arun, leaving Sameer to finish the auditions alone.
Vinnie arrives to find Ranbir out of control, smashing the lounge up while Arun looks on helplessly. Vinnie launches himself at Ranbir and pins him to the ground. When Ranbir has finally calmed down, Vinnie lets him go. But Ranbir doesn’t stick around to clear up the mess he’s made, leaving Vinnie and Arun to sort it out. Arun won’t tell Vinnie what sparked off Ranbir’s rage and Vinnie doesn’t get chance to prise it out of him because Jodie appears and when she sees the mess she breaks down in tears. Arun and Vinnie rush to comfort her and explain. There’s no need to worry, by the time Mani gets home it will be perfect.
