Sameer walks in on Sway mopping up at the Parkside. Sway explains that he’s had to close the kitchen down, they need money to fix the leaky roof urgently. Sway thinks Sameer may have to go alone to their meeting with Sandra at the football club but Sameer knows nothing about homework clubs so he’ll call them to say they’re running late.
Sandra chats to Jaggy about married life. Jaggy explains they will all be living in his apartment now because they don’t want to keep uprooting Kesar. Sandra recalls Darren being shifted from one school to another because they went wherever Kenny’s football took him. Darren was always bullied too because he was a great footballer.
Sameer and Sway prep for their meeting with Sandra. Sway says he’s already been laying the charm on with Sandra as they need to secure a serious sponsor for Parkside. The roof needs fixing for a start. Sameer suggests a fundraiser such as a Christmas pantomime and if they cast a big name, other affluent sponsors may get involved. Sway thinks it’s a great idea and leaves Sameer to make it happen.
Sandra is disappointed with the club accounts. Fans want goals but the players have lost their passion. Jaggy explains that they can’t afford to pay the players fulltime so morale will be low. Sandra insists that the players need a confidence boost and some positive marketing. Jaggy wonders if that was what they were doing by publishing his wedding photos? On the subject of Darren, Sandra casually slips in that Darren is being released early on probation from prison and he is a changed man.
The meeting at the club appears to be a success. Sandra likes the idea of the club having links with the community and Sway is happy that the club will pay for the lads transport to do their homework at the football club. Sandra loves a man passionate about his cause so takes Sway on a tour of the grounds. As Sandra leaves, Jaggy tells Sameer that Darren will be out soon and when Sameer states that Darren could be a changed man, Jaggy is not convinced.
