Jodie is sprucing the house up ready for Mani’s return, whenever that may be. She let herself in whilst Kuljit was asleep. He suggests going out for breakfast but she wants to start on the windows and get the curtains to the dry cleaners. Kuljit gets her to stop everything, why is she is doing all this? Kuljit makes her realise that he may not even come back. Jodie doesn’t want to listen any of that and starts cleaning again.
Kuljit bumps into Mary who is out walking to clear her head after a disagreement with Bill. Kuljit explains that Jodie is trying to make the place all ready for when Mani comes back. Mary figures she’s just doing it to be useful and keep her mind occupied. Mary invites Kuljit for coffee and they agree that they should let Jodie deal with it the way she wants to. Kuljit asks Mary whether she thinks Mani has done something silly but Mary doesn’t know what state of mind he may be in. All Kuljit knows is that if something happens to Mani, Jodie will never get over it.
At the hospital, Mani is given the all clear and is able to go home. Mani tells the nurse that he doesn’t remember much about what happened but he remembers that he didn’t want to come back to the real world. The nurse asks again if there is anyone she should call for him but he insists that there isn’t. A bit later on, the nurse comes back to say that a ‘Mr Mukherjee’ has been ringing the hospitals and is on his way over. Mani is annoyed at first but when a tea tray falls, it startles him and agrees to see Mohit.
Kuljit arrives back at Mani’s house to find Jodie in tears. She is distraught, saying she will never forgive herself if something happened to Mani.
