Mani is at the bank where he explains he left home without his wallet but needs to withdraw some cash. The cashier suggests he could nip home to which Mani replies he doesn’t live in London. Jean says they will need to get a signature faxed over from Mani’s branch. Mani tries to write his details down but his hands are shaking. Jean wonders if there is someone who could come and get Mani but he accuses her of interfering and throws his pen at her. Jean threatens to call security but is worried when Mani falls over. Mani storms outside where he tells Stella that his head is hurting.
Mani is sitting in a doorway having an imaginary conversation with Mary when he is approached by a homeless outreach worker. Mani thinks he is still talking to Mary. The lady tells Mani her name is Liz and asks if he has somewhere to stay tonight? Mani retreats after telling her he isn’t homeless. Mani then runs into some young revellers buying booze on their way to a party. They laugh when Mani offers to come saying he is a musician. Mani makes his way to Soho Square where he resumes his conversation with a dead Stella who suggests he climb over the railings and go to sleep seeing as he is so tired. Mani settles onto a bench and is soon dreaming. A young lad creeps up on him telling his friends he is going to give the old dosser a fright. Suddenly there is a loud explosion. Mani falls and hits his head as he screams out for Stella.
Jodie and Mary are at their London hotel. They have exhausted their list of Mani’s old haunts and are no closer to finding him. A despairing Jodie suggests they might as well go home but Mary is determined to give it more time. They are interrupted by a call from Vinnie. Jodie immediately becomes hopeful but Vinnie is ringing to see if they have any news. Later Mary is standing at the window when she hears an ambulance siren close by. Jodie hopes it’s nothing serious. Elsewhere a police officer tells Mani the ambulance is here. Mani closes his eyes but PC Adams tells him he must not go to sleep…...
