Vinnie’s looking miserable when Dr Hassan pops in to Saffron Rays for dinner. He explains that he’s under close scrutiny from Pradeep since he discovered their business venture. Dr Hassan is shocked to learn that they’d turned the flat into a public sheesha lounge without a licence. The restaurant could have been shut down by the police if they were caught! Dr Hassan thinks that if they applied for a licence though, and opened a lounge legally it would be a great idea. He decides to have a word with Pradeep to try and talk him round. He introduces himself and butters Pradeep up, complimenting his cooking. Unfortunately the conversation doesn’t go as well as he’d hoped when he brings up the sheesha lounge. Pradeep flies off the handle and storms off, outraged that a doctor would condone smoking like that.
Pradeep feels a bit guilty about the way he spoke to Dr Hassan and to make peace he takes him over a complimentary sweet. He explains that he only over-reacted because his son, Arun was one of the racketeers in question. Dr Hassan accepts his apology and says how welcome Arun and Vinnie have made him feel. The pair are soon chatting amiably and when Dr Hassan feels Pradeep is in a better mood he tentatively suggests that if they got a proper licence a sheesha lounge might be good for business. Pradeep grudgingly admits that takings have been down since it closed.
Zenab is concerned that Nadia might try to make too many changes to Jilani Fashions so she’s laid down some ground rules. She wants Rozena to keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn’t get out of hand. It’s too late though, when Rozena pops into the store it’s practically unrecognisable! Nadia nervously shows her around, aware that she’s completely overstepped the mark. Rozena takes it all in and to Nadia’s relief she’s delighted with the new look. She tells Nadia not to worry about Zenab. When her mum sees the profits rolling in, she’ll forget all about the rules.
