Pradeep is back from his trip to New York and he surprises Arun by coming in early, so he quickly has to hide some peach sheesha resin in the restaurant kitchen. Pradeep’s pleased to see the place looks clean and tidy and assumes Mani had everything under control. Vinnie explains that Mani’s gone away so it was all down to him and Arun. Pradeep’s puzzled by Mani’s sudden disappearance and surprised he left Arun and Vinnie in charge. Vinnie reminds him that he is management and they did fine on their own. Pradeep’s even more surprised when he sees the books. Takings are up and he congratulates Vinnie and Arun on a job well done.
Kuljit’s keeping out of Jodie’s way and to her relief she hasn’t seen Mani either. She’s annoyed to get a call from a supplier though enquiring about why Mani hasn’t placed an order for the restaurant. She heads off to find Pradeep to deal with it. Pradeep is glad to help out and offers to call all the suppliers and sort it out for her. Jodie gratefully tells him he’d be doing her a huge favour by looking after things until Mani returns, and she’ll make sure there’s some extra cash in it for him.
Arun’s planning his twentieth birthday celebration and fancies a boys’ night out. He reckons he wants a break from ‘the chicks’. Seeing the look of incredulity on Vinnie’s face he cracks up, of course he’s joking! Walking through the park the pair bump into Rita who reminds Arun about Diwali. It’s going to be a big family occasion this year at Uncle Rajan’s. As she hurries off Arun grumbles, it’s not his idea of a good time. Vinnie’s happy though, it means while Arun’s away he gets all the sheesha babes to himself!
Rita catches up with Pradeep at Saffron Rays to check he’s arranged the time off for Diwali. Pradeep confesses that he didn’t like to ask Jodie, she seemed too stressed. And unless Mani gets back soon, then she’ll have to count him out for Diwali.
