Sean tells Fran his uncle Brian has gone off to work on a property development in Lithuania. Fran immediately starts going on about people like Brian using the system to help himself. Sean accuses Fran of being judgemental. Fran argues she is entitled to her opinion and gets up to leave. Sean says that’s fine with him.
Roopa tells Simran she has been asked to do a photoshoot for a magazine article about breakthrough artists in Indie Rock. The problem is they aren’t interested in the rest of the band and Aidan won’t be happy. Simran reckons Roopa shouldn’t worry about Aidan. She is talented in her own right and should go for it. Later Roopa leaves a message for the magazine saying she’ll need a few more days to think about it.
Jodie announces she is getting rid of the clothes Mani bought her. To prove it she takes an expensive dress and pours wine all over it. Fran suggests they look on top of the wardrobe for anything else they can spill wine on. Later a bonfire has been lit in Silverhill Park and Jodie announces they are going to burn Mani’s stuff. As they ceremoniously throw things onto the bonfire Sean tries to object but Jodie tells him to go away.
Simran tells Kenny the pampering session he'd booked for Sandra is cancelled and she won’t be emailing any wedding photos either. She and Jaggy know the Lesters were trying to put out a good news story depicting them at an Asian wedding to counteract a negative one about their son’s conviction for a racially motivated attack. Kenny is upset and angry. The pampering session was because Sandra has been depressed recently. Kenny ends the call abruptly leaving Simran feeling she may have gone too far.
Later Simran pleads with Jodie to stop. All this anger can only make her miserable in the end. Besides isn’t Jodie worried about Mani and what state he is in? Jodie pulls some train tickets out of her pocket from the time she and Mani visited her mum’s grave. She adds them to the fire saying they’re gone just like Mani. She hopes he never comes back…
