The mood in the band has taken a dive; everyone’s worried that Surinder’s appearance means the end of the reunion. Indy sat up all night last night keeping Pritam company with a bottle of whisky because Pritam couldn’t face Surinder. Bobby’s more worried about Pam though, he confides in Kuljit that she is very fragile.
Pritam and Surinder continue fighting. Surinder is convinced that Pritam is still in love with Pam after all these years and nothing he says can convince her otherwise. Surinder reckons Pritam seems different and its all because of Pam. Pritam protests if he’s changed, it’s because of the music. He’s been missing it for 25 years. He gets on his knees and pleads with Surinder; he chose her over everything, he loves her and she’s the only one for him. Grudgingly Surinder says she believes him, mainly because she’s embarrassed at the scene he is making. She can sense that the others are all watching. Pritam seizes his chance and tells Bobby that’s it, he’s off to pack and he is leaving with his wife.
When the others hear the news, they blame Surinder for interfering. But Surinder has finally realised how much the reunion means to Pritam. She tries to persuade him to stay and finish the recording. Kuljit desperately tries as well, hinting that it’s their last chance because people won’t always be around. Pritam’s had enough of the hints and demands to know what Kuljit means. Kuljit admits that he thinks Bobby is dying.
Pritam goes to find Bobby immediately. This could be his last chance to talk and put things right. They finally have it out about, each accusing the other of behaving badly. They don’t manage to call a truce, but at least they are talking. Then Pritam asks Bobby what’s wrong with him. Confused, Bobby says he’s fine, then it dawns on him that Kuljit has put two and two together wrongly. Bobby gently explains that it’s not him who is dying. Pam has cancer. The prognosis isn’t good and what she wanted more than anything was to reunite the band and record their last songs. The songs remind her of her youth... Pritam stops him, suddenly he understands. He doesn’t need to hear any more. Sataree are going to record those songs and they'll be the best thing they’ve ever done.
