Shazia walks in on Dr Masud rummaging through Kamal’s books and photographs. He also informs Shazia that his replacement has started at the surgery but he feels for the patients, they walk in to see the back of his head as he’s moved the furniture around.
Fran is surprised to see Jodie back at the barge so soon. Jodie tells Fran that Kuljit turned up at the wedding and when she told him to leave her alone, he did. Fran mentions that he’s just been moping around the café and not even put the lights on to the studio.
Dr Masud talks about the new doctor as he continues going through Kamal’s things. Shazia’s heard he is renting the old Jilani house. Dr Masud is shocked that having his job is not enough, he wants his street too! Shazia asks him if he’s missing work as he’s been a bit down lately. Dr Masud says its more than that, he’s worried about her ending up alone.
Jodie tells Fran that she needs space to think. Fran suggests she moves back in to the barge and she can move back into Zak’s house but Jodie insists there is room for both of them and besides she could do with a friend close by. Kuljit is then heard knocking loudly on the door and Fran offers to talk to him instead.
Shazia tries to reassure her dad that she’s not lonely, it’s just he’s got too much time on his hands to think, he needs a hobby. Dr Masud is then distracted by an unfinished poem of Kamal’s, he decides to finish it off and then says he will concentrate on a project. Shazia does not realise he means finding her a husband!
Fran warns Kuljit to stop stalking Jodie, she needs space to get her head together and if he wants reconciliation, he needs to walk away.
