Have your say
Simran is more relaxed now that they’ve reached a compromise with their parents over Kesar at the wedding. Jaggy grabs Simran for a dance and tells her that he can’t wait for them to be husband and wife and start their new life together.
Fran is unsure whether Jodie should be going to Southall but Jodie is not going to let Simran down, she knows what it feels like. Fran is eager to find out what happened between Jodie and Mani but Jodie doesn’t want to discuss it further.
Mani tries to call Jodie again and realises he’s destroyed his only chance of happiness, he doesn’t deserve her forgiveness. Kuljit hopes she’ll come back and forgive him. He then decides to head to the barge, he can’t sit and do nothing. Mani just wallows in self pity, he’s lost his daughter, how can he go on?
Jodie tells Fran to ring her in an emergency but only if there’s an issue with the café. Kuljit is banging on the door saying he needs to talk to her and when Jodie doesn’t reply, he pleads for Fran to help him. Jodie knows he is playing the friendship card and reminds Fran whose side she should be on. After Jodie has left, Fran meets Kuljit at the café and tells him Jodie is leaving for Southall so he’d better run.
Jodie heads over to Simran’s place whilst the whole street are out to wish Simran the best for her wedding. As Jodie grabs Kesar from Mary, Kuljit rushes up to her and needs a minute with her but she asks him for some space, it’s the least he can do. In the car to Southall, Jodie is silent prompting Simran to ask if she’s ok. Jodie tells her not to worry, she’s fine.
