Have your say
Arun teases Sean who is rushed off his feet at the Golden Crown. Sean explains there’s more to running a pub than just pulling pints. Arun doesn’t really want to hear the details, he’s got them on the guest list at the club later for Zak’s birthday.
A distressed Jodie knocks on the barge door. She is confused and can’t understand if it is true that Mani knew about her, also how does Kuljit know? Fran confirms that Kuljit is telling the truth, she persuaded him to speak out. It’s been eating her up inside too, she just couldn’t believe Jodie was talking to the man who abandoned them both. That’s why she’s in Silverhill, she had to see what had changed between them. Jodie can’t believe what an idiot she’s been. She wanted to accept that Mani was her great trusting dad so much that she didn’t think he would lie to her. Her mum was right all along.
At Chunkys, Zak is enjoying his rowdy dinner with Arun and Sean. Zak thanks Arun and Sean for coming out with him, all he wanted for his birthday this year was to hang out with his mates. Arun thinks Zak is going soft in his old age. If Fatima was here, she would have probably baked him a cake. He feels bad that he’s not seen her grave yet, he owes it to her so he will definitely go today. Arun and Sean offer to go along too, which is a huge relief for Zak, he knows he can’t do it without them by his side.
Jodie reminisces about the past, things were simpler when they were young but Fran believes nothing is stopping her from being free again. Jodie disagrees, she has a life in Silver Street and friends and commitments. Fran suggests Jodie should go away but Jodie has made a promise to Simran for her wedding and she’s certainly not running away, she wants answers from her dad, he owes her that much at least.
