Nadia is surprised to see Rozena locking up Jilani Fashions. Rozena explains the Manager has walked out over ‘a difference of opinion’. Nadia offers to look after things until Rozena sorts cover. Rozena’s mobile rings and she says she’ll show Nadia the ropes once she has taken the call. It’s Kenny and he isn’t happy no-one told him about the team photo shoot today. Rozena reminds him she isn’t in charge of the club’s publicity anymore and Kenny expresses he wishes she was. Later at the ground Kenny grumbles his job is to prepare players for matches not organise photo shoots. Rozena says she’ll look after things until Mushtaq arrives. They both agree this whole exercise is a shambles.
Sway turns up at the garage to invite Zak out for a chat over lunch. Sean told him about what happened in Newquay. They head off to the café where Zak describes how he almost drowned. Since getting back he keeps getting the shakes and Sway says he was very lucky. Zak tells Sway he thinks the whole thing is God’s way of getting him back on track. When Zak was in the water he willed himself to die so he could be with Fatima but then realised he wasn’t ready to go yet. That’s when he started reciting from the Quran and knew then that he would be OK. Sway agrees there is a lot of power in prayer. Zak requests Sway doesn’t tell Nadia what happened as she will get stressed.
Kenny expresses his disappointment in Mushtaq for spending money on safety checks and sprucing the club up. It would have been better invested in new players. Kenny adds Mushtaq needn’t expect expecting any miracles this season. Rozena reckons she needs to get back to the shop as it’s been left in inexperienced hands. Rozena returns to find Nadia has shifted some old stock at less than cost price. Nadia can’t believe they bought that rubbish in the first place. Rozena says that was down to the old Manager. Nadia thinks she did them a favour by quitting – the shop isn’t exactly buzzing with creative flair. Rozena thinks it sounds like Nadia is pitching for the Manager’s job…..
