Zak’s been looking for Ranbir. Jodie just told him it was Ranbir who found Zak’s wallet and handed it in. Zak wants to reward his honesty so he hands Ranbir a twenty pound note. Ranbir can’t believe it but Zak reckons he deserves it; most kids would have cleaned him out.
Arun arrives at the studio late and finds Ranbir finishing off some of his work. Ranbir says Kuljit needed it doing quickly. Arun’s livid that Ranbir will get all the credit when he’d already done most of the work. Ranbir just carries on and tells Arun he must have other stuff to do. Angrily, Arun reminds Ranbir that he’s not in charge. Arun decides he’s had enough of Ranbir and books himself some time off in the holiday book before he waltzes out again. When Ranbir protests that he’s only just arrived Arun tells him to run and snitch to Kuls to score himself some more brownie points.
Bill is getting out of his car when he sees Zak. He self consciously explains why he’s driving, not wanting Zak to think he’s over the accident so easily. To make conversation Bill asks Zak about Glastonbury and says he had some good times at festivals himself giving a knowing wink. Zak takes it the wrong way because part of him still feels guilty about enjoying anything in life without Fatima. Bill is upset that he seems to have offended Zak and hurries away.
Arun walks along the canal cooling down and spots Zak enjoying a beer in the sunshine. He joins him and grabs a beer. Both are fed up with Silverhill at the moment and decide they need to get away for a bit but they’re both broke. Then Zak has a bright idea. They could go and stay with Pete in Newquay. Arun is up for it straightaway. It’d be just the thing to help him forget about that little retard, Ranbir. Zak has a go at Arun for talking about him like that, he’s just a kid and none of Arun’s problems are his fault. Arun reckons Zak’s been taken in, Ranbir’s a creep and he needs to be taught a lesson!
