Aidan is moaning that the crew weren’t taking them seriously at the sound check. Stu the venue owner checks that they’re ready to go on and says that he’s not heard of them before. Aidan tells him his technical crew are a bunch of clowns but Stu reminds him he’s lucky to get a support slot and like he said, he’s not heard of ‘The Sightseers’ before.

Stu asks Roopa if she’s the singer, she must be the Spicy Spice that the boys have brought in for a feature as there aren’t many Asian girls in bands. He explains that he used to go out with a Pakistani girl but it never worked out. He bets Roopa’s parents will try and line up a lad for her quick smart to get her away from the boys. Roopa lies by saying her parents aren’t like that.

They perform on stage and Roopa listens to her mum’s voice messages in the break. Rita wants her home, she’s had her fun and they’re worried sick.

After the gig, Aidan downs a can of beer, they were rubbish and so were the sound crew. Roopa enjoyed their first set, she got a buzz out of it. Aidan wonders how she can get a buzz when her vocals were too low and she wasn’t connecting with the audience? He just can’t believe he was in a band that went onto success and now he’s with this comedy tour.

At the aftershow party, Roopa is enjoying herself and wants a miserable Aidan to do the same but people are laughing at them. Roopa insists he’s not going to ruin her night and besides, the paranoia is coming from the spliff he’s been smoking. He tells her to make her own way back.

Later, Steve and Roopa are outside and she spots Aidan snogging some young girl. Steve thinks she’s jealous and besides, if Aidan’s moved on, he’s still available. Roopa calls him a loser and walks back inside.

In the ladies toilets, Roopa rings Rita, she’s just played her first gig and it was amazing!
