Sean and Fran are having dinner at Saffron Rays. Sean tells Fran the decor was a joint effort between Jodie and Mani who make a good team. Later Mani comes over and Fran learns how Sean caused him to have accident a few years ago. Mani accepts Sean made a mistake and says it’s in the past now. They go on to discuss Jodie and Fran admits she didn’t imagine Jodie settling down with someone like Kuljit. She had good reason not to pin all her hopes on a man after all. Mani awkwardly suggests he check on the other tables and leaves. Sean wonders what that was about but Fran claims she has no idea.
Aidan tells Roopa to concentrate on recording her vocals? That way it will feel like she is on tour with them. Roopa sarcastically suggests they take a cardboard cut out of her with them instead. Aidan says they all want Roopa to come but it just isn’t worth the hassle she’ll get from her parents. Roopa admits they’ve been watching her constantly since Sean landed her in it. As they chat Pradeep calls. Afterwards Aidan asks what he was saying about him. Roopa says Pradeep is wondering why a bloke Aidan’s age is going out with a teenager. Aidan decides he will drive her home and Pradeep can say everything to his face. Roopa hastily talks him out of it saying he’ll make things worse.
Fran reads Sean’s angel cards and says there is also something about Sean being rejected in the past. Mani brings over another bottle of wine and Sean ropes him into having a reading. Fran suggests there are dark issues in Mani’s heart that need resolving before he can move on. Mani says its funny how Jodie has never mentioned Fran before. Are they very close? Fran says they are like family. Mani rushes off again leaving a puzzled Sean to shout after him.
Aidan and the band are driving off when Roopa dives in front of the van. Steve brakes hard and Roopa jumps in with a bag. She is going with them after all and is old enough to make her own decisions. Aidan wonders about her parents but Roopa left a note on the fridge. They can’t stop her now…….
