Dr Masud thinks it’s admirable of Mani to sell a tabla master class at the mela to raise extra money for Parkside. Mani sees lots of scrunched up paper on the floor and guesses the doctor has been writing some new poetry. He asks if he can hear them. Once Dr Masud has finished Mani claps furiously saying he should have treated his patients with poetry. Dr Masud says he wrote this one in remembrance of his wife. Mani decides this is the right moment to break the news about the poetry slot Sway is giving them at the mela. It’s the perfect opportunity for Dr Masud to show off his talents.
Arun turns up at the recording studio to find Kuljit and Ranbir composing a track for the comedy tent at the mela. There is clearly tension between Arun and Ranbir so Kuljit changes the subject by talking about the name they came up with for the music stall. Kuljit then suggests Ranbir grab some lunch from next door. Once he has gone Arun shows Kuljit the bookings folder saying he can’t make out what Ranbir has written. Arun jokes that he thought Ranbir went to school. Kuljt explains Ranbir has some issues reading and writing as he has missed a lot of school. Arun doesn’t need to keep going on about it! Later Arun asks Ranbir to pull out the disc of his Glastonbury recordings but Ranbir insists it isn’t there. Arun says it is clearly labelled. Ranbir is embarrassed and asks what colour it is. Arun points out all the discs are the same colour so he isn’t going to find it that way. Arun grabs the case and finds the disc himself but is disappointed to discover it’s blank. Kuljit says it doesn’t matter and then announces he is putting Ranbir in charge of the music stall. Arun is annoyed to discover that he will only be helping out with the technical side of things.
Elsewhere Dr Masud isn’t happy about Mani arranging the poetry slot without his consent. His poetry is private. Why did Mani even assume he would bare his soul in front of complete strangers? Mani asks what he should tell Sway but Dr Masud says that’s down to Mani…..
