Rita has just phoned in sick on Roopa’s behalf but is convinced Jodie doesn’t believe her. Pradeep doesn’t believe it either. Roopa was fine last night when she spent all that time on the phone to Aidan. It’s obvious she’s sulking about getting caught out lying to them. Rita is worried that being too hard will make Roopa do something silly but Pradeep thinks she’s already done that.
Jodie tells Fran she is a lifesaver for helping out at the café. She also confirms she knows Rita was lying. Jodie needs to go out for a while and Fran guesses it’s to do with Simran’s hen party. Jodie says it is although there is only so much planning she can do whilst Simran is in India.
Elsewhere Roopa confronts Sean about telling her parents she was at Glastonbury with Aidan. Sean tells Roopa he saw how Aidan was treating her and that she should realise Aidan gets more out of the relationship than she does. Roopa angrily tells Sean to mind his own business and stop meddling in hers. Sean reckons in that case she should sort her own life out in future and stop getting him and Arun to lie for her!
Back at the café Jodie tells Fran she is thinking of booking a luxury spa break for Simran’s hen party. Jodie then asks how things are going between Fran and Sean. Fran says both Sean and Zak have been really good to her. As far as the relationship goes Sean is a nice guy but Fran doesn’t expect it to be for ever. She likes her freedom too much. Jodie then suggests Fran give her an angel cards reading to see where her relationship with Kuljit is heading. Fran suggests they might do that later.
Roopa claims she went to Glastonbury with Aidan because he needed support. He’s a bit depressed and having a hard time with his career. She adds Rita and Pradeep shouldn’t worry and that she can handle looking after him. When she leaves Pradeep says he can’t believe that the cool and calm Aidan is actually such an emotional wreck. Rita has a bigger question. If Roopa’s looking after such a needy guy who’s looking after her?
