Sameer decides he and Rozena deserve a lazy day so he tells her to take a day off and stay in bed while he nips out for coffee and pastries. Rozena takes very little persuasion and lies back thinking she likes this new, improved Sameer.
Sameer cuts through the park on his way home and bumps into Sway who’s checking out the site for the Mela main stand. He’s decided it’ll cost too much to move everything so it’s staying where it is, City Farm or no City Farm. He’s snowed under with Parkside business and Sameer reckons Sway could use some help. Just then Sameer’s phone rings so he leaves Sway to take the call he’s been waiting for.
Missing out on his daily jog with Sameer Jaggy has a lone work out, trying to tone up for the wedding. He’s not as fit as he was though and he flakes out after fifty press ups and a few crunches. Simran interrupts his session to tell him she’s had enough of her mum’s bad taste. She’s decided she needs some input on the wedding shopping … so she’s going with Surinder to India. And while she’s there she can check out all the latest designs for her wedding planning service. Jaggy smiles, Simran’s always got an eye out for a business opportunity.
By the time Sameer gets home those coffees must be cold! Rozena’s bored with waiting, so she’s up, showered and watching the news while checking her emails. Sameer quickly hands her a coffee knowing what she’s like without her morning caffeine hit. Taking it, Rozena can’t help but notice the big smile on Sameer’s face. She asks if he’s had some good news. Sameer admits mysteriously that he has had some news. The phone call he took earlier was from work. They’ve accepted his request to take a career break. So for the next few months they can live off his Dubai bonus. Work can wait for a bit…for both of them!
