Suresh stayed out all night. Ambika reckons he should have caught a cab home after the meeting but he brushes her off. It was easier to stay in the city. Ambika’s not happy but she leaves it and reminds him they are going out for a family meal tonight.
Jas and Greg hide away with Cindy’s laptop so Jas can check Roopa’s email with loads of Glastonbury photos. Greg spots a picture of Aidan and wants to know if he’s single. Single and straight Jas replies to his disappointment. Greg points to another photo, of Vinnie this time. With a name like Vinnie Greg expected a bit of a gangster. Jas protests Vinnie’s a decent bloke. A decent bloke who is past his sell by date Greg reckons. Greg nips out leaving Jas wondering how to break it to Vinnie that it’s all over. She’s just plucked up courage to dial when Greg returns. He calls that she can tell Vinnie he’s her new boyfriend, after all she did spend the night in his bed! He sees the look of horror on her face too late. Vinnie will hear every word! Jas is instantly distracted when an MSN message from Suresh intended for Cindy pops up saying ‘I had fun last night’ As Jas rushes out he calls after her that it could be completely innocent…
Jas bursts into Suresh’s office. She says she’s heard some rumours and needs to know if they are true…rumours about him and Cindy. Suresh smoothly reassures her just office gossip. People see him with an attractive intern and put two and two together. Surely Jas knows him better than that? Then Suresh asks if she was expecting him to show favouritism because he’s her Uncle. He’s already had to pull strings to get her the internship. He wonders angrily if he made a mistake bringing Jas over to New York. Jas is lost for words, reading between the lines, is Suresh threatening her? She goes straight to find Greg and begs him to come to the meal tonight; she can’t face it alone knowing Suresh is cheating on Ambika. Greg tells her not to be so naive. This is New York, full of temptations and opportunity, so Suresh likes a bit of variety, nobody died. Jas cries that if that’s what New York is all about then he can keep it!
