Episode Synopsis

Have your say

Mushtaq pops in to see Pervaiz and Khatija before they head back to Pakistan. Khatija says they aren’t happy about Zak staying behind but at least he won’t be alone now that Sean is moving in. Pervaiz adds Zak wants them to go and claim their land back in Mirpur and not be here worrying about him. Mushtaq reckons it sounds like Zak knows what he wants but Khatija says she isn’t so sure about that and heads off to make some tea.

Later Mushtaq tries to persuade Pervaiz that Zak is simply trying to grieve for Fatima in his own way and that means being here. Pervaiz says he didn’t really see it like that. Mushtaq adds that Sean is someone Zak trusts and he is in safe hands. As parents they have to stand back and let their children make their own choices and learn from their mistakes. Pervaiz agrees – it was only last week he finally cleared the air with Sway. He might not approve of Nadia’s choice of partner but they have agreed to call a truce. Pervaiz declines Mushtaq’s offer of driving them to the airport but is grateful when Mushtaq says he’ll keep an eye on things here while they’re away.

Arun is still trying to persuade Vinnie to phone his dad about them working the food stall at Glastonbury. Didn’t Vinnie say he can wind the old man round his little finger? Vinnie doesn’t think he can be bothered with it all so Arun resorts to desperate measures. He’ll do the washing up in the flat for a fortnight and open up the restaurant. Vinnie finally agrees to call but isn’t promising anything! Arun waits impatiently for news and finally gets confirmation that Vinnie has secured four catering passes. All they have to do now is find two more people to come with them. Arun reckons Sean will definitely be up for it.

Vinnie is leaving yet another voice message for Jas. Maybe she isn’t calling him back because of the time difference? Arun rushes back in saying he’s cleared time off from the studio with Kuls but hasn’t managed to speak to Sean yet. Vinnie says they’ll have the passes tomorrow. Arun can’t wait to see the look on Roopa’s face when she finds out he is going too….
