Pervaiz is going over the registry papers for their land in Mirpur. The lawyers have more papers for them to sign. Zak says they should go back and needn’t worry about him but Pervaiz says if Zak’s staying then they are too. Maybe he could try and buy them a bit more time. Zak gets a call from Sean who is ringing to confirm meeting up later. Later Pervaiz is delighted when Zak announces he has a change of heart and will be coming to Pakistan with them after all. Zak says he’ll nip out and buy the tickets now before he hooks up with Sean.
Simran tries on the wedding outfit her mum bought for her. Kesar immediately starts giggling and saying ‘yucky mummy’ Jodie on the other hand is speechless at first but then jokes she’ll definitely stand out if nothing else. Jodie suggests they go for a walk and get ice-creams – her treat. In the park Simran admits she’s dreading this wedding. Jodie tries to reassure her but Simran says her folks are going to have the wedding of their dreams not hers. Jodie says she needs to get to work but promises to ring later. And Simran needs to do something or she’ll look back on her wedding day and regret it for the rest of her life.
Sean is surprised when Zak tells him about moving to Mirpur but says they can still stay in touch via phone and email. They arrive back at the Akhtars where Zak hands Pervaiz the plane tickets. Pervaiz is puzzled to discover there are only two but Zak explains that’s all he bought. He isn’t coming to Mirpur after all and he won’t be on his own because Sean is moving in. Sean is shocked at the announcement but goes along with it.
Later Sean comforts Pervaiz who is tearful at the thought of leaving Zak behind. Sean reckons Zak probably just wants to be close to Fatima’s grave. Zak never meant to upset them. It’s just something he needs to do. Sean promises Pervaiz there is nothing to worry about. He will be here to take care of Zak for them….
