Dr Masud is writing in his journal when Shazia comes in. She wonders how his cold is now and suggests being cooped up in here can’t be helping. Shazia is told to stop fussing. Besides isn’t Shazia meant to be making an appearance at the Refugee Week? Shazia offers to cancel but the doctor tells her to stop using him as an excuse to get out of going. Shazia says she’ll go but will be calling later to see how he is. Dr Masud mutters something about if she must.
Krishan turns up at the centre wanting to talk to Sway about music levels at the mela. He shares Pradeep’s worries that the noise might scare the animals at the City farm. Sway jokes it will be like a mini Glastonbury besides he read cows love a bit of drum ‘n’ bass. Before Krishan can start again Sway heads off saying he has a lot to do today and can’t discuss it any more. Later Krishan is cycling through the park and spots Shazia who is on her way to see Pradeep. Krishan voices his concerns about the mela music affecting their animals. Sway doesn’t seem too interested. Shazia suggests they go to the farm together. As they walk Shazia rings her dad but he doesn’t answer. She leaves him a message hoping he might have gone for that stroll she suggested.
Dr Masud answers the door to Abdul who claims to be a friend of Kamal. The doctor invites him in saying any friend of Kamal’s is welcome here. Dr Masud prepares some tea and asks Abdul for news on Kamal. It soon becomes clear that Abdul doesn’t know Kamal. He read about the doctor financing Kamal’s fake passport in the paper and searched him out as he needs similar help. The doctor tries to explain he only helped Kamal because he is a friend but Abdul becomes agitated saying he doesn’t care about Kamal. He deserves nice things too and it’s not like the doctor can’t spare a bit of cash. Dr Masud decides he has had enough of this menacing behaviour picks up a vase. He tells Abdul to get out before he uses it. And if he ever comes back the police will be called…..
