Rita and Pradeep try out paint colours in Ba’s old room. Roopa can’t tell them apart they all look cream to her. She’s on her way to Vinnie’s house warming party where she’s meeting Aidan. Rita wants to know when Roopa’s bringing him home to meet them. He could be their first dinner guest in their new dining room. Roopa’s not keen on that suggestion and is off like a shot. Arun’s no help with the colours either. He’s livid with Krishan for using all his designer aftershave. He’s fed up with sharing and reckons the room should be his, not a dining room.
The party’s just getting going with Bina leading the dancing. Sean wants to up the volume but Vinnie’s under strict instructions from Mani to keep it down. Sean and Vinnie are pleased to see Roopa has invited some of her college friends along. It’s about time there was a bit of new talent around! Sean picks up some magazines he finds and teases Vinnie with them implying they are ‘top shelf’ mags. Vinnie denies all knowledge and reckons they must have been Pradeep’s. Roopa is mortified until she twigs that the ‘lovely pair’ and ‘huge melons’ are features from ‘Organic Vegetables News.
When Arun arrives at the party he’s still fuming and bends Sean’s ear about his aftershave. He eye’s the flat jealously and wonders if Vinnie’s looking for a flatmate. All that’s forgotten in a moment though when he spots a gorgeous girl giving him ‘the look’. Vinnie reckons it’s more like a squint but Arun’s already made a move. To Sean and Vinnie’s surprise it looks like Arun has pulled! Ten minutes later Arun is begging Vinnie to lend him the spare room tonight. Roopa is disgusted; he hardly knows Emma! Just then Pradeep phones Vinnie with an emergency. One of the kitchen staff has gone sick and he needs a replacement…Arun. Vinnie pretends Arun’s not around and hangs up. Pradeep knows he’s fibbing and goes straight up to the flat. When the party goers see him they all giggle and jeer as Sean hands over his magazines. Pradeep is oblivious to the teasing and collars Arun to come and chop onions. Mortified, Arun hurries his dad out of the flat. That’s blown any chance he had with the lovely Emma tonight.
