Mani has finally agreed to let Vinnie move into the flat so Vinnie’s organised a flat warming. Sway chuckles as he remembers the laughs he and Kuljit had sharing the place. He asks Nadia if she’ll come to the party but she can’t. It’s too soon; people are still coming to the house to pray. She notices a boy mucking about in the hall and yells to him to leave the mats alone. It makes Sway laugh, the way she deals with kids, Nadia really surprised him in Wales. She surprised herself too and wonders if she really wants to back to dealing with whinging clients at Glamour to Go. Nadia looks up then and sees the Imam heading towards them so she beats a hasty retreat. Sway takes a deep breath; the Imam must be there to talk about him walking out of the shahada. But the Imam is there to talk about Zak. He’s hoping Sway might be able to get through to him.
Simran has arranged a birthday treat for Jaggy. She’s organised Zak to babysit Kesar at her flat so they can have a lovely dinner then have the apartment to themselves for dessert! Jaggy’s impressed that Simran knew just what to do to lift Zak’s spirits. His face lit up when he saw Kesar. Jaggy has solved his best man problem at last. He tells Simran that he’s asked Jinx to be his Svala and Sameer can still be a sort of best man! Jaggy hopes that their wedding doesn’t turn into a tacky affair with their parents planning everything. They laugh as they remember a friend’s wedding with lots of drunken Uncles dancing around with whisky bottles on their heads.
Nadia pops round to the flat later to see Sway and apologise for her disappearing act. She couldn’t face another lecture. He fills her in on their chat and how he’s trying to come up with a plan to get Zak to talk to him. He’s also been thinking about Nadia. If she’s not sure the beauty business is really for her maybe she should take some time off to think about what she wants to do next. His wages will cover what they need. Nadia throws her arms around him. If only her mum and dad could see how wonderful Sway is.
