Have your say

Arun and Vinnie’s banter at the restaurant reminds Mani of Kuljit and Sway. He wonders how they didn’t send each other mad, living together over the restaurant and working there too. At the mention of the flat both Arun’s and Vinnie’s ears prick up. It’s been empty since Pradeep moved out and both think they’d be the ideal new tenants. Mani ignores their warnings about the dangers of squatters and burglars but the lads aren’t about to give up that easily. Arun waits till Vinnie’s out the way and tackles Mani. He begs Mani to let him move into the flat, he really needs his own place. To shut him up Mani tells Arun he’ll think about it. Vinnie’s annoyed when he hears this and goes to find his Uncle. In usual Vinnie style he offers to do Mani a favour by taking the flat himself. Arun overhears them and dashes over protesting that Mani promised the flat to him. Vinnie plays the family card but Arun claims he’d look after it better because Vinnie’s a slob. They continue to bicker until Arun ups the stakes and offers to do all the onions at the restaurant for a month if Mani lets him have the flat. Vinnie counters with an offer to clean the fryer for the whole month. Mani sees an opportunity and tells the lads before he makes a decision he needs to see how they perform the tasks they’ve offered. The fryer and the onions await them in the kitchen!

Sameer is spending the evening with Jaggy watching football on TV. He’s just told Imran about them losing the baby and had to stop him from dashing back home immediately. Rozena wouldn’t want that. Sameer asks Jaggy how the wedding plans are coming on. Jaggy can’t wait to get married now and excitedly tells Sameer that all that matters to him now is Simran and Kesar. He starts to talk about how he felt when Kesar was born then back tracks, not wanting to upset Sameer. Sameer reassures him its ok though. He just wants people to be normal around them again. Jaggy laughs, he’s not sure he can do ‘normal’. Sameer says he’s going back to work next week but he’s not looking forward to it, in fact he’s thinking about a change of direction.
