Have your say
Sean and Arun spot Bill outside Zak’s house. Arun thinks they should just leave Bill to it. Sean gets annoyed, when is Arun going to support Zak? Bill is about to ring Zak’s doorbell until he hears Khatija’s voice then decides against it and heads home.
Khatija is worried that Zak’s not eating properly and she wants a chat about the future. When she blurts out that they should go back to Mirpur, Zak agrees saying they mustn’t feel they have to stay there for him but he’s shocked when she means all of them.
Sean and Arun bump into Bill who appears distant. Sean tells him that they’re going to Zak’s. Bill reckons they will be more welcome than he is, which is why he couldn’t get himself to ring their bell. Sean tells him not to be so hard on himself, he will see how the land lies with Zak first. Arun still thinks visiting Zak is a bad idea but Sean is determined.
Khatija tries to explain to Zak that he could get a job in Mirpur, a fresh start is what they all need. Zak reiterates he’ll be fine, Fatima is buried there, he’s not going anywhere. He’s about to head out until he bumps into Arun and Zak at his door. Sean helps Khatija make the tea and sends Zak and Arun upstairs. Khatija asks Sean if he can persuade Zak to eat and she’s glad they’re there, Zak needs his friends more than ever at the moment.
Arun apologises to Zak, they should have come sooner and he has been stupid. Zak reads out a letter from Kamal and when Kamal comments on their married life, Zak can’t continue so Arun reads the rest. Sean tells Zak what he and Talib did for Kamal was amazing. Arun starts to crack jokes again to cheer Zak up but when Sean mentions Bill, Zak feels he can’t face him just yet, he’ll never forget what happened, he thought he had everything when he found Fatima, there was so much they wanted to do together.
