Shazia’s annoyed that Dr Masud went to the police station on his own. Dr Masud sarcastically says that now he’s got a caution, she’s off the hook. Shazia thinks he’s blaming her? Dr Masud heads out to have lunch with his practice partners so that he can clear the air with them.
Nadia visits Sway at the Parkside Centre. Sway wants to show Zak some support, he could even talk to him about when he lost own dad but Nadia’s not sure. Sway takes this as he’s still not welcome at her mum and dad’s house. Nadia tries to explain it’s awkward with Fatima’s parents around but Sway knows where he’s not wanted. Later Nadia apologises to Sway and as she dishes out his supper.
Shazia practices her statement that she is going to deliver and tells Maggie she’s determined not to let some reporter get the better of her.
Kuljit lends Sway some amp leads but senses things aren’t right. Sway knows that Talib got charged so Kuljit was right all along but Sway reminds Kuljit that the fake passport wasn’t for any criminal, it was for Kamal, surely that can’t be so bad?
The press are scrambling for a position to hear Shazia deliver her statement. A journalist probes her about the strain it must have on her relationship with her father and maybe she had back hand deals with the Justice Ministry? Shazia snaps back, what her father did was wrong but she wants to draw a line under the matter now.
Back at home, Shazia asks Dr Masud when he’s going back to work. He explains that the partners feel its time for him to retire, they must think there’s no smoke without fire but he guesses it’s the justice he deserved. He was relieved when he got the caution but angry with himself for allowing Talib to take all the blame so it’s only right that he loses something for what he did.
