Shazia is determined to keep her father away from the press even if that means staying at his place and screening all his phone calls. Dr Masud guesses she is also worried he’ll break his bail conditions. Shazia thinks he should get a taxi to work in case there are journalists waiting for him. The doctor doesn’t think they would be interested in a fuddy-duddy doctor like him but Shazia isn’t so sure.
Pradeep and Vinnie are discussing the new immigration laws. One of their workers went to Bangladesh for a holiday and isn’t allowed back. Vinnie reckons they need to replace him fast. The market is full of opportunities for someone who’s prepared to work at them. Pradeep tells Vinnie he’s right. Later Arun is mixing music in his room when Pradeep turns up wanting to talk to him. Pradeep can’t get Arun’s attention and unplugs his decks from the mains. Will Arun listen now!
Shazia is on the phone and hangs up when she hears a key in the lock. It’s Dr Masud who announces the surgery have put him on ‘gardening leave’ due to the investigation. The phone rings again and Shazia tells them to call back. Dr Masud says he doesn’t need to be baby-sat by his daughter and she should be concentrating on helping Zak. Shazia reminds him it’s his fault Zak is in trouble. Dr Masud defends his actions and tells Shazia he doesn’t care what people are saying and leaves the room. Later Rehan rings while they are having their lunch and Shazia assures him everything is fine here. When she hangs up Dr Masud sarcastically says he’s glad she thinks so.
Pradeep tells Arun he needs to start contributing to the household financially. It isn’t just food and accommodation. There’s council tax and broadband to pay for too. Arun says his music career will start paying its way soon. He just needs one of his projects to take off. Pradeep has heard enough and tells Arun unless he has another job lined up now he is working at Saffron Rays. And his first shift is tomorrow…..
