Simran calls on the Akhtars to pay her respects. Nadia is pleased to see her; she remarks that it’s times like these that you find out who your real friends are. Zak emerges from his room to thank Simran as his phone rings. He takes a look to see who is calling and cuts it off. It rings again and he angrily rejects the call once more. He decides to go out and get some fresh air. He walks to the park listening to the numerous messages Talib has left. Just then he hears a shout and turns to see Talib running towards him. Talib greets Zak, wondering how long he’s been out of custody. He assures Zak he told the police that the passport was nothing to with Zak; it was all down to him. He’s surprised when Zak is hostile to him though. Unaware of what’s happened, Talib asks how Fatima is. Zak just looks at him and walks away.
Meanwhile Khatija is worried about Zak. He’s barely spoken two words since the funeral and now he’s gone off on his own. Nadia gets no reply from his mobile so she goes off to look for him. Simran promises to let them know if she see’s him as she leaves.
Talib runs after Zak wanting to know why Fatima won’t return his calls. Zak stops and turns to Talib screaming that if it wasn’t for Talib, Fatima would still be alive. He punches Talib in the face. Talib is shocked; he doesn’t want to fight his friend but as Zak keeps raining punches on him he has to defend himself. Simran sees the fight and rushes to try and break it up. She pulls a sobbing Zak away and Talib walks away sadly; he’s lost his friend Fatima too.
Simran takes Zak back to her flat to get him cleaned up before Khatija sees him. She tends his cuts and notices there’s blood seeping through his shirt. Zak’s reluctant to take it off but she persuades him. As he pulls it over his shoulders he reveals the beautiful henna tattoo Fatima did. Simran examines the intricate designs that are fading fast. Zak feels like they are all he has left of her. Simran hugs him tightly as he sobs how much he misses Fatima.
