Bill has made Mary start up a new walking routine in the evenings before the pub gets busy but she’s not pleased about it. Bill explains that once she’s in the pub, he doesn’t get a chance to speak to her properly and it’s nice to have a moment in the day that doesn’t involve the pub. They walk past the Akhtar’s house and notice all the comings and goings and then have a laugh when they realise that they sound like two old people hobbling around the block talking about their neighbours!
Talib carries in a box of leaflets for the charity and mentions to Zak that people were staring at him unloading the van. Zak thinks he has nothing to worry about and gives him tells him a cheque of £20 towards his charity. Zak offers to help unload the books from the van and offers to stuff his envelopes too.
Back at the pub, Bill queries Mary when he finds out that Kuljit is having a surprise celebration for Sway at the pub. Bill is annoyed at how she’s agreed to create extra work for herself at such short notice. Mary knows why they are arguing, Bill is just trying to pull her away from her usual routine and she’s adamant that she’s not giving up the Crown just yet. She wants him to make himself useful and order Sway’s cake from the café.
Zak is delighted when Fatima tells him that she is now Simran’s resident mehndi artist for all weddings. Zak suggests a night out to celebrate. They bump into Bill on the way who asks Zak whether he’s excited about his sister coming back tomorrow. Zak is shocked but makes out that he knew all along.
