Katie is at the salon getting ready for her forthcoming Indian theme wedding. In true Bollywood style she has had henna painted on her hands and Fatima is massaging them with oil. Simran comes in and confirms the venue is looking fabulous. They all agree that the henna patterns look great. Fatima says some of it was a bit tricky but she had practiced on Zak. Simran picks up a clipboard and ticks off the activities they have completed. Next its make up and getting Katie dressed up as a bride. Katie wonders if there is time to practice her dance routine again.
Roopa is on the phone telling Siobhan about her row with Rita and Pradeep last night. Siobhan says she shouldn’t punish her parents for caring. They are trying their best to understand their little girl is all grownup with a boyfriend. Siobhan makes Roopa promise she won’t run off like that again and that she’ll cut her mum and dad a bit of slack. They’re only human!
Elsewhere Katie is finally ready and can’t believe the reflection in the mirror is really her. Simran gives her some decorative jewellery to hook into her hair as a wedding gift. Katie says her something blue is lurking under her sari. The ‘borrowed’ is a ring from her sister and the ‘something old’ will be her vintage Ambassador car – the iconic car of India! Katie asks Roopa if they can go through her dance moves again and they both dance around the room.
Later the women head outside the salon to look at the wedding car but discover the driver is being sick. He claims to have stomach ache too and Fatima realises he’s in no fit state to drive. Katie can’t believer her luck. The wedding is due to start in 15 minutes. Simran tells Fatima to ring the venue and explain they are going to be a bit late. Fatima says she has a better idea and rushes off down the street…….
