Rita and Pradeep haven’t slept much after last night’s revelations. Roopa came home after midnight but she’s sneaked out again early before they could collar her. Rita’s a bit relieved though, she’s not ready to handle the situation yet. Neither of them can get their heads round it. They decide the best thing to do would be to interrogate Arun to find out what they can about Roopa’s mystery boyfriend. Pradeep drags Arun out of bed telling him he’s got some explaining to do. Pradeep says he’s got a good mind to shop Arun to the police about the dugs. Arun protests it was only a bit of weed, but as far as his parents are concerned drugs are drugs and they are dangerous. Arun sighs, fobbing them off he tells his mum and dad from now on then ‘he’ll just say no’. Pradeep’s not having any of that attitude though and tells Arun he’s grounded for four weeks. Arun laughs at his dad, he’s nineteen and he’ll do what he likes. Rita reminds him that while he’s living rent free under their roof he’ll do as they say. Pradeep gives him a chance to redeem himself; if Arun tells them everything about Roopa’s boyfriend. Arun doesn’t have much choice and tells them everything he knows…including catching them at it in the café.
Pradeep is horrified, especially when he remembers meeting Aidan; he’s a grown man! Rita is incensed that Kuljit and Jodie could allow something like that to go on in the café. Pradeep agrees they’ve been very irresponsible and they rush round to the Pumpworks to have it out with them. When they get there they find it difficult to tell Jodie and Kuljit why they are upset, but gradually Jodie gets the gist and realises what Roopa’s been up to. Kuljit’s confused; he can’t understand why they are mad with him and Jodie. Jodie agrees, she’s not over the moon about Roopa and Aidan using the café as a love nest either. Kuljit gently suggests it’s Roopa they should be talking to. Rita immediately realises Kuljit’s right, they’ve just been putting it off. She apologises and they head home to face the music with Roopa.
