Kuljit meets Nicole from the mentoring service. She shows him a photo of Ranbir, the young lad he’s been matched with. She tells Kuljit Ranbir’s story; how he lost both his parents in a car crash and has been in foster care ever since because his grandparents couldn’t cope with him. She reassures Kuljit that although he was a bit of a handful after the accident, he’s had anger management counselling and hasn’t been in trouble for ages. Nicole says Ranbir is really into music so Kuljit should be a great mentor for him.
Krishan is doing his homework in the café and Jodie keeps him topped up with smoothies. He turns down her offer of a cookie though, he’s watching his weight. Jodie laughs; Krishan’s growing up and he obviously has his eye on a girl if he’s worried about his love handles! Krishan doesn’t deny it, but he won’t let on who the lucky girl is he’s smitten with.
Roopa has been working hard on a song and when Aidan arrives at the rehearsal room she’s keen to show him what she’s done. Aidan is strangely cool with her though. Roopa wants to know what’s wrong; he didn’t return her calls last night either. He snaps back that they don’t have to spend every night together do they? Roopa knows he’s keeping something back and tells him he shouldn’t hide things from her. Aidan explodes; it’s not him who’s hiding things. Why didn’t she tell him about her problems?
Roopa storms off to confront Arun. How dare he tell Aidan about her bulimia? Arun protests that he was just looking out for her. Roopa is livid with him though for poking his nose in her business. Just then Rita and Pradeep come home and overhear the pair arguing. They decide to keep quiet to find out what’s going on. By the time Roopa flounces out and catches them open mouthed, eavesdropping, they know all about Arun’s sneaky spliffs…and Roopa’s love life.
