Have your say
Siobhan drives Pete to the police station and says she’ll wait outside for him, maybe they could have lunch afterwards?
Rita is surprised to see Siobhan at the police station. She wants her out of her place of work. Siobhan explains that she’s there because Pete is answering questions about Jai and the gym. Siobhan suggests a chat if Rita has time, she must have something to say to her? Rita agrees reluctantly but for 5 minutes only.
DI Millard questions Pete, surely he must have known Jai was laundering money? Pete explains that Jai wasn’t stupid, he didn’t let him see any of the paperwork. DI Millard mentions that they both left the country at the same time, were they in Australia together? Pete gets annoyed , he doesn’t know where Jai is and he had nothing to do with any of it. They let Pete leave but explain that he could be called as a witness in a case against Jai so they hope he’s not going anywhere again?
Rita wants to know how Siobhan could lie about Pradeep being Sean’s dad. She doesn’t care what happened at Christmas but she cares about what happened 21 years ago when they were supposed to be friends. Rita wanted to die when she had to get married because of Jai, and all along they must have been laughing. Siobhan says she cared about her and even tried to help.
Rita asks if Mark knows about her past. Siobhan says Mark knows what he needs to know. Rita insists people don’t change. Siobhan says she loves Pradeep now so she must have changed and she has to stop blaming people for what happened in the past as the only person she is hurting is herself.
Rita asks Siobhan what she wants from her and if it’s forgiveness or friendship, she can’t give it yet. Siobhan warns she’ll be around more to see Sean, what’s done is done, there’s no point in arguing for another 21 years. Rita guesses not.
