Fatima brings coffee to Zak and they chat about how lovely the weekend has been. Zak feels bad about Talib having to move out although it was nice to have the place to themselves. Zak suddenly realises the time and jumps out of bed saying he needs to be at work. Fatima seems disappointed but Zak says he is getting double time as its bank holiday Monday.
Imran is buying stuff for the baby on his travels. Zenab doesn’t have the heart to email him back with the news that there is no baby. Besides he has been through enough himself. Mushtaq asks why she is cooking so much food. Zenab is on the brink of tears and answers it’s for Rozena. Their daughter is suffering and Zenab doesn’t know how to comfort her. Mushtaq says all they can do is be there when Rozena is ready to talk.
Fatima phones Roopa for help with her Uni course. Roopa says she can’t do it right now as she is at a friend’s house and suggests another day instead. When Roopa hangs up Aidan jokes she should have admitted she is at her boyfriend’s house. Roopa reminds him it’s actually his parents place. Aidan then admits he doesn’t actually live here. He leads an amused Roopa upstairs to see his ‘granny flat’. Aidan explains it’s old fashioned because his parents want it kept the way it was when his Grandma lived there. They flick through some old vinyls and Aidan says it was listening to Frank Sinatra with his Gran that first got him interested in music. Roopa says she did the same with Kamla and her 70’s Bollywood vinyls. Aidan asks Roopa to sing something Hindi for him and accompanies her on his guitar.
Fatima heads to the garage to tell Zak her parents are back in a few weeks so they can start planning the wedding celebrations. Zak says it feels weird that they got married so suddenly. Even his best mates didn’t know! Fatima reckons telling Nadia should be more of a priority then telling Arun and Sean. Fatima might call Nadia herself. Zak says their marriage has nothing to do with Nadia. Fatima disagrees but Zak refuses to discuss it further and walks off.
