Have your say

Zak and Talib call at Dr Masud’s clutching a passport for Kamal in the name of Firoz Khan. Kamal looks at it nervously. Talib tells him not to worry, there’s a flight leaving for Karachi tonight and Kamal will be on it. Kamal is shocked. He can’t go now; it’s Zak’s Nikah tomorrow. Zak and Talib tell him he can’t risk staying. Kamal is adamant though. Zak is like a brother to him and he’s willing to take the risk to do something for Zak that he’ll never be able to do for his little brother. Reluctantly they agree but Talib says he’s taking Kamal to the airport straight after the Nikah. Zak tells the others he has to go; he can’t put off phoning his mum any longer.

Unfortunately Khatija doesn’t take the news of his Nikah well and she rushes off shrieking, leaving a confused Pervaiz to pick up the phone. Zak explains that he’s met his future wife … and their Nikah is on Friday. Pervaiz is shocked but Zak reassures him. Fatima takes the phone and greets Pervaiz. She apologises for organising things without telling them. He can tell she sounds a sensible girl but he tries to persuade Zak to wait just a few days so they can fly back. Zak interrupts him, it’s all set. But when they get back and Fatima’s parents are there they’ll have the biggest wedding. Pervaiz relents and goes to calm Khatija down.

Sameer breaks the terrible news to Mushtaq and Zenab. Zenab breaks down distraught for her daughter. She wants to go to Rozena immediately but Sameer knows it’s not what Rozena wants. Mushtaq gently tells Zenab that this is for Rozena and Sameer to face together. Rozena will let them know when she needs them.

When Sameer gets back to the apartment he catches Rozena sobbing over a pile of baby clothes. Sameer picks up the little outfits as she describes how she’d imagined the baby wearing them. She breaks down crying that it’s all her fault because she didn’t want the baby at first and she shouldn’t have bought the clothes because it’s bad luck. Sameer holds her close and comforts her but nothing he can say convinces her. She tells Sameer how glad she is that he came back from Dubai, otherwise she’d be facing this all alone.
