Zak’s nervous about phoning Fatima’s parents; what if they refuse to let her marry him? Fatima assures him that won’t happen; she’s already told them, and they want to speak to him. She’s arranged to phone them from the Chauhans so they’ll be able to see each other on the web cam. She presses him about when he’s going to break the news to his parents but Zak’s not quite ready for his mum’s reaction yet. Just then Talib comes in and he’s delighted when Zak asks him if he’ll be their other witness.
Sameer brings Rozena breakfast in bed and takes a peek at the book she’s reading about childbirth. She’s surprised when he starts talking knowledgably about the different options. He laughs and pulls out a similar book; he’s been reading up on it too. She asks Sameer if he’d like to go with her to a childbirth lesson at the hospital later. He tells her of course he’ll come; they are in this together. Just as they are leaving Mushtaq calls round and is taken aback when he sees Rozena’s now obvious bump. He has been wondering what he should be called when the baby comes. Rozena is touched and they settle on Nana Jaan. As they drive off Sameer comments to Rozena that Mushtaq is going to spoil this grandchild rotten!
Zak finally gets to meet his future in laws thanks to the Chauhan’s web cam. Fatima’s father, Jamil, explains that they won’t be able to get back for the Nikah as his brother is very ill. Fatima asks where her mother is. Jamil hesitates, Fatima’s mother hasn’t taken the news so well. He asks Fatima if he can speak to Zak in private so Fatima leaves them to it. Jamil is worried whether Zak will be able to support his daughter on his mechanic’s wages. He seems satisfied by Zak’s response and gives the pair his blessing, on condition that Fatima’s mother can host a big wedding as soon as they get back to England.
Sameer looks a little pale as they leave the hospital; the slide show was a bit graphic! He tells Rozena he might need some of the gas and air himself. Just then Rozena calls out, she just felt the baby kick for the first time. She excitedly puts Sameer’s hand to her stomach so that he can feel for himself.
