At Saffron Rays, Jas, Vinnie, Zak, Talib and Fatima enjoy dinner. Zak intimately asks Fatima if she’s ok. She is having a great time and thanks him for including her. Jas comments to Vinnie about how cosy Fatima and Zak both look. After dinner as they walk home, Fatima wonders what Dr Masud’s response was when they talked to him about Kamal. Zak says he wasn’t happy about the fake passport but maybe his daughter can pull a few strings.
Aidan realises just how competitive Roopa is at bowling but is having a great time. Later
at the park, Roopa shivers and suggests going back to his place. Aidan doesn’t really think she’d want to meet his mum and dad! They kiss and Aidan teases Roopa, he knows all of her dark secrets. Roopa gets concerned until she realises he is joking. Later when Aidan can’t sleep, he calls Roopa and says he’ll think of another place they can go and they arrange to meet at the weekend.
Talib heads to bed whilst Zak puts the kettle on for Fatima and tells her to get some music on. They get chatting about her course. Zak tells her he knows nothing about art and she offers to take him to an exhibition. It’s still raining so Zak tells her that she’ll just have to stay longer!
It’s 4am and Fatima realises she’s been sleeping on Zak’s arm on the settee. She snuggles up to him and he asks her whether he really is the only one she can talk to? She explains that she just feels safe with him. He was watching her sleep and thought she looked beautiful and content like when he first met her. Fatima gets embarrassed as she tells him she likes him too. Zak says he wants to spend long evenings with her but he wants more than a relationship, he wants to marry her. He doesn’t want to rush her but they both feel like they’ve known each other for years. He kisses her but when she hears Talib get up, she grabs her car keys and leaves with Zak shouting after her that he’ll call her in the morning.
