Have your say

Rita and Pradeep have pushed the boat out for Suresh’s goodbye meal with a feast. Jas whips out a camera to get some photos of the family. After dinner Rita cracks open a bottle of champagne to toast Suresh just as the doorbell rings. Sean has decided to join them. The family welcome him in and Jas hands him a glass of bubbly while Roopa rushes off to get him some food. They all sit down to watch a video of their trip to India. Sean can’t believe how plush Suresh’s house is and how they live, it seems like a different world to him. Suresh invites him to stay any time he likes. Sean jokes that he’d love to if it wasn’t for the injections! Suresh laughs and says he should visit them in America then, he’ll send Sean a ticket anytime he fancies a trip. Sean reckons he might take up the offer sooner than Suresh thinks.

Rita’s had a bit too much bubbly and tells Pradeep drunkenly how pleased she is he’s come home and promises never to believe anyone else over him again. As she rambles on Pradeep silences her with a kiss, leaving the Chauhan kids open mouthed with shock.

Talib’s invited Kamal over because he’s worried about the state he’s in over being deported. Zak wonders what they can do to help. When Kamal arrives he’s very down. He shows them the letter from the Home Office saying his application has been denied. It can only be reconsidered for legal technicalities. As far as Kamal is concerned, it’s the end of the line for him. His friends don’t want Kamal to give up and plead with him to fill out the appeal form. Kamal has made his mind up though, he can’t fight anymore and he wants to be with his family in Pakistan. The problem is though, he’ll be deported to Afghanistan and he’ll have to cross the border; the border his brother died trying to cross. Talib offers to raise the money for a flight to Pakistan instead. Kamal is exasperated and shouts at Talib that he has no passport – he’s illegal. Kamal storms off – no-one can help him now. Talib has another plan though, if Kamal doesn’t have a passport then they’ll just have to get him one – a forged one.
