Zak’s keen to make a good impression as he slaves over a hot stove. He confides in Talib that he really likes Fatima and wants to get to know her better. Talib reckons he should tell her how he feels. The doorbell rings making Zak jump, but it’s only Kamal calling for Talib. As Zak returns to the kitchen Fatima phones. She’s really sorry but something’s come up and she’s going to be late. She’s got a flat tyre but she doesn’t want Zak to think she’s a helpless female. When she finally arrives and confesses why she was late Zak comes to the rescue and takes her to the garage to fix a new tyre for her. He tells her she doesn’t have to prove anything to him, he’s a mechanic, she should have told him straightaway. Fatima’s sorry that she ruined the evening especially when Zak tells her what he’d cooked. He offers to pack some up as a takeaway for her. She smiles and Zak tells her how lovely she looks. Embarrassed Fatima changes the subject saying she’ll come by bus next time. Zak’s pleased there will be a next time and tells Fatima how much he cares for her. He’s relieved when she responds that she wants them to see more of each other. She’s had a great time tonight despite the disastrous start.
Rozena has prepared a delicious meal and waits anxiously for Sameer. But when he arrives he declares he’s not hungry. Rozena tries her hardest to get around Sameer but he just wants her to leave. He knows where he stands, Rozena’s married to the business, not him. Rozena pleads with him for another chance, things have changed – she’s pregnant. She doesn’t get the reaction she wants though as Sameer coldly asks who the father is. Rozena slaps him hard but immediately regrets it. She assures Sameer that he’s the father but he doesn’t believe her until she confesses that she’s five months gone already. This only enrages him even more; why has she kept it from him so long? She explains that she couldn’t tell him over the phone but Sameer is suspicious; he won’t be made a fool of again. Rozena has a trump card though which she plays as she pulls out her ultrasound scan photo and shows Sameer his baby.
