Have your say
Nadia and Kamal are having a coffee. Nadia tells Kamal that Sway’s been offered the job in Wales, and Kamal thinks this is great news. Nadia reluctantly tells him that she wants to go with Sway. She tells him she’ll only be a train ride away and always on the end of a phone. She’s anxious he’ll give up his fight to stay without her to nag him, but he tells her he’s got virtually no hope anyway, and doesn’t want them to fall out over it. He’s really keen to hear about Wales and asks how Nadia’s managed to get out of work? Nadia says Simran’s so loved up with Jaggy that she can’t say no to anyone at the moment!
Mushtaq arrives at the office for a meeting with Jaggy and Kenny, and finds Rozena there. He’s annoyed she’s not resting but she thinks it’s the perfect day for sorting out her desk. Jaggy arrives, telling them he hasn’t got long – he’s got some semi-professional players to check out in the park. Mushtaq explains they’re in trouble, but his funds aren’t bottomless, and Jaggy tells them that they can’t buy their way out of trouble. Rozena’s listening, as she pours the tea, but leaves them to it and returns to her desk. She then makes a ‘phone call, arranging a meeting. Back in their meeting, Kenny’s explaining they need to buy new players. Jaggy insists they only need to buy one player, and can foster local talent, but Kenny says they don’t have time to wander around parks looking at amateurs. Jaggy’s annoyed – he’s the coach, his opinion should count, but Mushtaq agrees with Kenny so Jaggy announces that he’s quitting. Mushtaq can’t believe it, but Kenny thinks it’s good news: Jaggy’s more trouble than he’s worth.
Roopa ‘phones Aidan to say she’s going to have to miss rehearsal – she’s off to India! Everyone’s really excited. Rita and Suresh check over the house and then go to get into their taxi, where the kids are waiting. At the airport, Pradeep still hasn’t arrived, and isn’t answering his ‘phone. They’re just about to check in when he finally appears. Suresh tells him he thought he’d had a change of heart, and as Pradeep goes to greet the kids, Rita tells Suresh this isn’t going to be an easy trip.
