Rozena’s in the Rangers office, crawling about under her desk when Sandra pops in. Rozena gets up but suddenly faints. She comes round quickly but Sandra’s worried – she’s banged her head, cutting it quite badly. She insists on taking Rozena to hospital. The doctor at the hospital tells Rozena she needs a couple of stitches, and an X-Ray. Rozena reluctantly reveals that she doesn’t think this is wise – she’s sixteen weeks pregnant! The doctor insists it’ll be fine, and that she needs to take things easy. He asks about her thirteen week scan, but she says she hasn’t had time to go yet, or to tell her GP. She leaves, with the doctor insisting that she contacts her GP immediately. Sandra’s waiting for her, and Rozena breezily assures her that she’ll be back running things in no time, but is overheard by the doctor, who tells Rozena he’ll be writing to her GP straight away, and that she needs to take a week off. A week off? Sandra wishes he was her doctor! On the way back, Rozena takes a call about Rangers getting involved with National Fitness Day. She’s really enthusiastic – another chance to raise their profile. However, when she finds out it’s in August, it dawns on her that August’s seven months away…she can’t deal with that thought, and cuts the call off.
Rita’s going back to work, despite Kamla telling her she’s not up to it. She promises to be back for lunch. Later, the doorbell rings and Kamla finds Suresh on the doorstep. She’s amazed to see her son but delighted. He tells her that her call sounded urgent – he had to get there straight away. Kamla fills him in on what’s been going on with Jai. Suresh is unimpressed; Jai’s not a teenager needing to be bailed out by his family. Kamla also explains that Rita and Pradeep’s marriage is in trouble. Rita arrives back from work and is shocked to see Suresh in the kitchen! Suresh tells her he’s heard all about Jai and that he’s there to help. Rita can’t handle his “I can fix everything” attitude, and heads upstairs. Suresh tells Kamla he can see why she’s called him – Rita’s barely holding things together. But Kamla tells Suresh he doesn’t know the full story. Pradeep’s having an affair.
