Sarah and Kuljit meet up for lunch at Saffron Rays and Gramps’ mystery date is one of the topics of discussion along with the leaflets that have been distributed in Jodie’s café. They both agree that there isn’t really anything to worry about. Sarah raves about the food to Head Chef Pradeep and agrees to take him up on his invite of swapping recipes at his flat later that night. They end up having a laugh and chat about where they are in life. Sarah encourages Pradeep to enjoy his new freedom and bluntly tells him to stop dressing like a sixty year old! She persuades him to go on a shopping trip with her the next day to freshen up his image.
Sandra visits Darren in prison. Darren is annoyed that while he’s stuck in prison, they are making friends with the enemy. Sandra explains that they have been branded as racists and that is nothing compared to her and his dad splitting up and her taking anti-depressants. The conversation continues to take a downward turn. Darren knows that Jaggy is coaching Silverside Rangers F.C and he’s furious his parents are working with the very person who testified against him. He dismisses her reasons for wanting to build bridges with the local community and her plans for Darren to play at the club after he gets out of jail. He angrily cuts the visit short, vowing he’ll be back in the premiership when he gets out. As she prepares to drive home, she rings Kenny and breezily tells him the visit went fine.
