Sandra shows Rozena the new press interview area – good news as Rozena has lined up an interview for Mushtaq later on. They take a short cut through the ‘scenic route’ via the player’s changing rooms – a perk of the job as Sandra puts it!
Kenny’s keen to talk formations for Silverhill’s next match, but Jaggy’s got other priorities. He’s on his way to a scouting trip for the youth team which is key to Rozena’s community vision for the club. Sandra walks in and breaks up their bickering leaving Jaggy to head off. Kenny vents his frustrations to Sandra, but she tells him he needs to back Jaggy and concentrate on the club’s new direction. She reminds him about Darren and how they both need to buckle down and build the club up for his sake, so he has something to come back to when he gets out of prison.
Rozena fills her dad in on the interview she’s organised for him, but he’s not keen on the media exposure – he’d rather the player’s be interviewed. Rozena’s not hearing any of it and tells him he better get used to it – it all part of being the owner of a football club. A journalist arrives before he can get out of it and starts the interview about how he met his wife, but Mushtaq is clearly uncomfortable talking about his personal life.
On his scouting trip Jaggy spots Jordan, a promising talent, but he’s unwilling to give up his Sundays at Church for training. Jaggy can’t believe he’d rather go to Church than play football, but Jordan is adamant his faith is more important.
With the interview over, Mushtaq lashes out at Rozena feeling he was made to look like an idiot answering fluffy questions like how he makes his masala omelette!
Sandra and Kenny back Rozena – he’s a public figure now and he needs to do whatever it takes to raise the profile of the club. All publicity is good publicity after all…
