Have your say

Gramps accuses Kamla of looking like she’s going to climb Everest as they go for a walk. Kamla thanks Gramps for being there when she was in such a state and explains that Pradeep still refuses to come home. She feels like she’s in the middle of it all. Roopa needs her parents and although Rita does take him for granted, he should come home.

Jas, Arun, Roopa and Krishan visit Pradeep in his flat. Roopa thinks it’s a bit of a dump, Jas thinks it’s small and Krishan thinks it’s a mess. Pradeep has put some treats out and as Krishan scoffs them, Pradeep reminds them of the significance of Makar Sanskranti. The kids say they miss him so he should come back. Krishan wants to make kites like they do every year, they’ve even bought all the stuff with them!

Kamla and Gramps warm up with a coffee and laugh as he dribbles coffee down his collar. Gramps asks where Jai is but Kamla doesn’t know. She feels responsible for the break-up of Rita’s marriage. Gramps reassures her that if you give your children love and teach them right from wrong, they should be able to sort themselves out. Kamla says the one thing Jai has given her is a grandson, although she can understand why Sean doesn’t want anything to do with them. Gramps tells her to try again with Sean, he needs her.

Rita’s home alone and feeling lost. She picks up the phone to ring Siobhan, but when Siobhan answers Rita can’t speak to her and hangs up leaving Siobhan wondering if the anonymous caller might have been Sean … or even Jai.

The rest of the Chauhans fly their kites in the park and have a good laugh. Jas and Roopa agree that it’s good to see their dad laughing, its been a long time. Pradeep apologises for embarrassing Krishan at school with the video of Mooli. Gramps and Kamla see them all flying their kites and watch but Kamla feels sad as there is one of her grand children missing.
