Mary calls on Kamla to see how she is coping with all the gossip about Jai. Kamla’s in denial though and blames everything onto Siobhan. Mary is shocked that her friend still can’t see Jai for what he is. She fiercely defends Siobhan and tells Kamla some home truths about Jai. Kamla can’t keep up the front any longer and breaks down in tears. Mary comforts her saying things aren’t all bad, after all, Kamla now has a new grandson. Kamla is cheered a little and agrees it’s nice that is something they can share. She has a present for Sean and asks Mary to give it to him for her.
Simran arrives at the club and struggles to open a door holding Kesar at the same time. One of the players, Liam Summerton, spots her and helps her with the. Liam takes one look at the lovely Simran and begins to flirt with her outrageously. Simran obviously like what she sees too because she doesn’t discourage him. Jaggy comes to find her and gives her a tour of the club. All Simran’s interested in though is finding out who’ll be at the PR party. When Jaggy confirms that all the players will be there she suddenly changes her mind about coming.
Kamal is due in court for his asylum appeal. Nadia wants to go with him but Kamal puts her off saying it’ll be boring. Nadia senses there’s a problem and asks what’s wrong. Kamal admits that a witness he was relying on won’t be there because he didn’t get his papers. Kamal is grateful when Nadia insists on coming with him because he’s really quite scared. Nadia reassures him that everything will be ok if he just tells them what happened to his family. Unfortunately Nadia’s confidence is misplaced and Kamal emerges an hour later very distressed. The court turned down his appeal and he is being sent back to Afghanistan.
